Women's Equality Day. This annual event commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote.

In Kern County, we will celebrate the day with a panel of women professionals from the Television industry. Our panelists will include: Jackie Parks, News Anchor at KERO, Carol Ferguson, general assignment reporter at KBAK as well as KGET's Chief Meteorologist Alissa Carlson. They will share their personal experiences and address questions about women in television news.
